Alternatively we offer wider wrap around bars as an optional extra which tend to restrict leg movement in slow very tight turning but give a more straight arm position and a speedy look and feel. Bars can initially be changed from one type to the other without changing cable lengths so experimentation to determine your personal preference only requires 1 extra set of bars. In most cases a test ride with us or at your dealer will quickly confirm your favorite setup.

Mudguards
The bike mudguards are quick release using our special parts, light weight and adjustable for up to 2" (50mm) tyres. Complete with mud flap at the lower edge.

Instant removal without tools makes them easy to take off for folding and gives a choice of riding with or without on fine days.

Ice Cantilever Folding Rear Carrier For B1 only and available late 08
6061 T6 Alloy rear carrier with quick release mounting kit. This carrier is made to our design and has some great features making it a highly practical addition to your bike. It is designed to work with the B1 folding rear suspension and so is cantilever mounted with two QUICK RELEASE levers making it easy to remove before folding or just easy to fit or leave off for any journey (keeping weight to a minimum at all times).
The carrier sides allow the bags to be mounted low down and keep them clear of the rear swing arm. The top surface of the carrier is wide providing a stable platform and the rear face has multiple mounting options for fixing rear lights.
The carrier is supplied with a Green (harder) Elastomer for the rear suspension which will be appropriate for most people when the carrier is heavily loaded.

The carrier can also be folded flatter if required for packing with the bike during transport.

Please note that the bike comes with a rear reflector mounting for the seat rails which can alternatively be used for fixing a rear light. If the optional neck rest is fitted then this also comes with a mounting point for a "seat post" fixing rear light.

Adjustable Neck Rest
Fully adjustable for height and angle, removable padded cover. Very comfortable going up hills especially when the seat is set to a more reclined angle. Included with the neck rest is a light mount which provides a good place high up on the bike for fixing a "Seat Post" style light. (Light not included).

ICE custom made mirror mount to fit onto the wrap around handle bars.
Double clamp bolts for easy fitting.

Short crank chain set option
For shorter riders we can supply an upgrade front chain set with 152mm cranks in place of the more standard 170mm. These cranks come with alloy CNC machined 22/32/44 tooth chain rings on a 64/104 - 4 arm spider. The rings are smaller than those used on the standard chain set we use and hence give a more appropriate lower gear spread.
Short cranks give greatly improved comfort for shorter riders and are recommended for those under approximately 5'4".
If this option is chosen then the front derailleur fitted will be a SRAM X9

Rotor Bike Q Rings
Customer fit to replace the standard rings with specially shaped oval rings. Our opinion here at ICE is that these rings do improve riding comfort especially on hill climbing performance. For the ICE B1 We stock 36/50 to fit the Truvative 130 5 bolt pattern of the standard B1 chainset and 23/33/44 sets to fit the optional short crank 64/104 4 bolt pattern.
For the B2 we stock 30/40/53 74/130 5 bolt pattern.

Chain Ring Guard
Designed by ICE this optional chain ring guard is a light weight and durable unit made from heat treated Aluminium Alloy. The guard is an added safety feature but is also very good in preventing you from accidentally brushing against the oily chain rings and avoiding the recumbent rider tell tale prints on your legs or trousers.

The guard is fitted without removing the chain set by clamping the guard around the bottom bracket shell. A chain ring of up to 58T can be used.

Chain Tube Kit
If you prefer to keep the chain protected and perhaps protect your right trouser leg then we offer a full chain tube set for the ICE B1 and for the B2.

Kick Stand - B1 Only
A custom CNC kick stand mount and kick stand is available which can be bolted into the rear frame giving a very convenient way to park your bike.
When the stand is kicked up it does not interfere with folding of the rear frame section.
